A vehicle tracking system is only useful when somebody actually looks at the data. Fleet oversight is the gap most providers leave open – telematics is captured, the dashboard is available, but nobody is watching the alerts until after the incident has already happened.
Manguard treats vehicle tracking as a monitored service, not a passive data feed. Geo-fence violations, unauthorised stops, route deviations and panic activations raise alerts at the Command and Control Centre in real time, and the agreed protocol kicks in – operator review, driver contact, fleet manager notification or response dispatch.
Manguard runs a large commercial patrol fleet, with every vehicle tracked through the Samsara platform – GPS, geo-fences, dashcam, driver behaviour and vehicle health. The same system and the same Command and Control Centre oversight are available to client fleets, with response protocols built into the existing monitored alarm service. For sites under contracted patrols, vehicle tracking confirms attendance, time on site and that agreed inspections were carried out – documented in the ARC event record.
Closest-Unit Incident Response
When an alarm fires on a monitored site, the ARC dispatches the closest available unit using live vehicle positions, not last-known dispatch records.

Geo-fences drawn around client sites confirm vehicle entry, time on site and exit. Combined with the patrol officer’s tour record at the site (RFID, checkpoint reads), this gives a documented attendance record per shift, retrievable from the ARC event log for client SLA reporting.
Footage retention windows, access controls and the lawful basis for processing are agreed at contract start in line with GDPR and the platform’s data processing terms. Footage is retrievable on request for incident review and is purged on the agreed retention schedule. The data processing scope is documented in the service agreement.
Yes. When an alarm fires on a monitored site, the ARC operator can see the live position of every available response unit and dispatch the closest one – not the last-known dispatch record. This shortens response time, particularly on out-of-hours alarms where unit position changes minute by minute.
