Thirty years ago this weekend, in 1996, Manguard Plus walked onto The Curragh Racecourse for the first time. Our very first client.
We were twenty-two people then. A small Irish company with a handshake, a uniform, and a promise. The Curragh took a chance on us, and that single decision shaped everything that followed.
Three decades on, we are eleven hundred strong. We have grown across the country and across sectors, but the work we do at The Curragh has never lost its meaning. The same gates. The same parade ring. The same race days that mark the rhythm of an Irish summer. The same standards are carried forward by every team that has worn the high-vis on those grounds.
A milestone like this is not really about us. It is about the people we have lost along the way, and the people still showing up, shift after shift, season after season.
We remember the colleagues who walked those grounds with us and who are no longer here. TC Martin. Brian McDonagh. Poppy Dignam. JJ Coy. Jim Reville. Each one is part of the story that brought us to thirty years. Their service is part of every shift we still work at The Curragh Racecourse and we say their names today with respect and gratitude.
To The Curragh Racecourse, thank you for thirty years of trust. To every member of the Manguard Plus team, past and present, who has stood at those gates, thank you for the standard you have set.
