Bill Brown
Chairman

Bill is a qualified chartered secretary and Fellow of the Security Institute of Ireland. He has been at the forefront of this rapidly changing and challenging environment. He is a member of the Security Industry Joint Labour Committee, Chairman of the National Union of Security Employers and an appointed European Expert at DG Employment.

Martin Donnellan
Director

Martin is a recently retired Assistant Commissioner in the Garda Siochana with responsibility for crime and security, where he represented the Garda Commissioner as a member of the Private Security Authority. He holds a Diploma in Health & Safety and is a qualified Level 6 Security Industry Trainer. He sits as a Director of Manguard Plus with responsibility for both areas at Board level as well as providing specialist industrial relations and security advice.

Sean Hall
Chief Executive Officer

Sean was the Managing Director of Cill Dara Security Services. He is a graduate of the International Institute of Security, where he has been accredited with a Diploma in Security Management at Levels 1 & 2. He is a member of IPASS and holds a Diploma in HR and Employment Law. Sean is also a member of the Security Institute of Ireland; the Irish National Safety Organisation, the International Professional Security Association and the American Society for Industrial Security. He is a FETAC Level 5 Certified Security Trainer and FETAC Level 6 Trainer of Trainers and holds a FETAC 5 in Risk Assessment.

Patrick Flanagan
Business Development Director

Patrick is a qualified financial adviser. He has worked in the city of London with Friends Provident and latterly New York Life. He was a senior wealth manager with BDO Dublin and has specialised in the area of advising on investment into the commercial and residential property sector especially in the London market.

Lloyd Downey
Finance Director

Lloyd is a qualified accountant. Prior to joining Manguard Plus, he was financial controller in one of Ireland’s biggest motor groups. Whilst in this position he became group Financial Director and Managing Director of one the entities and gained vast industry, financial and managerial experience. Since joining Manguard Plus, Lloyd has adapted very quickly to the complexities of the security industry.

Leo Harris
Chief Operating Officer

Leo is a former member of the Irish Defence Forces, before embarking on a career in Risk Management, which has resulted in him providing risk advice to both Governments and Large Multi-National organisations located across the world but mainly in Africa where he advised on organisational risk exposure and mitigation measures. He is a certified member of the Institute of Risk Management and a Chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. Leo has completed an MSc in Business Risk and Security Management, BSc in Occupational, Safety, Health and Welfare at work and Diplomas in Security management, Crowd Safety and Security. Leo will manage our corporate compliance with our ISO, licensing and GDPR requirements.

Paul Ryan
Non-Executive Director

Paul joined the company as a Non-Executive Director having worked as an advisor to the business in recent years. Paul has over 25 years experience in business primarily in Senior Executive roles in the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical sector. Paul currently runs his own management consultancy business and he is a qualified accountant. He will be working with the Board and management team to strategically grow and develop the business.

John O'Brien
Operations Manager

John joined Manguard Plus from the Irish Defence Forces (Army) after almost 23 years of military service with the rank of Acting Company Sergeant. He is approved and accredited by NaCTSO (National Counter Terrorism Security Office) as a Counter Terrorism Instructor. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, John is responsible for increasing the quality and service we supply to all our clients. Specifically John leads Manguard Plus's efforts in: - Leading the Operations Team in improving the quality and service culture - Maintaining and increasing quality standards and approvals - Providing quality support to other departments to achieve their goals

Stephen Coleman
Regional Manager

Steve is a Regional Manager with Manguard Plus. Steve was previously the Managing Director with CCS Facilities. He is also a former director of the Security Institute of Ireland and has over 25 years of experience in the security industry. He is a registered security consultant with Manguard Plus Limited. He has senior management level experience in security operations, risk and threat assessment, training, investigations, human resources, process and contract management. His qualifications include SII Higher Diploma in Security Management, SII Diploma in Professional Investigation Management, SII Certificate in Managing Employee Safety,

Gerry Fox
Operations Manager

Gerry has vast experience in the security industry, including direct contract management; control room operations, the management of patrol and response services and employee scheduling. Gerry holds a FETAC Level 5 in Security Management. Gerry has been promoted to the role of Operations Manager.

Karen Bell
General Manager Belfast

Karen is the General Manager of our Belfast Office with 100 staff managing high level contracts including; Maghaberry Prison/ Henry Brothers, Titanic Quarter, Santander, Nationwide Building Society, Lidl, Mugrave Cash and Carry and Makro. Karen runs a cohesive team in Belfast with great loyalty from her staff, this has been proven by the low staff turnover and the high number of contracts which are renewed by her clients.

Michael Hall
Senior Account Manager

Michael supports the contract managers on a day-to-day basis. Michael has a very hands-on approach to management and believes the key to success is maintaining a close relationship with staff and to ensure that they are managed and treated in a fair but firm manner. He holds a FETAC 5 in Security Management. Michael is a registered Security Industry trainer and oversees our training department.

Jim previously worked in the industrial sector in Northern Ireland before moving to Dublin. He brings with him years of experience of management and industrial relations, having completed courses at Ruskin College in Oxford, England. Joe Farrell
Contracts Manager

Following a distinguished career within the Defence Forces where Joe served for 28 years during which time he completed 9 tours of duty with the United Nations including SFOR and KFOR in countries such as Lebanon, Bosnia, Kosovo, Ethiopia, and Eritrea Joe has gained a wealth of experience in management during this time. Joe joined Allied Security Network Ltd in 2008 as the Operations Manager and Manguard Plus in 2019 as a Contracts Manager.

Val Coss
Contracts Manager

Val has over 43 years’ experience in security. Val previously served in the Irish Defence Forces for 17 years where he attained the rank of Company Sergeant. He was stationed at the Cadet Training Academy at the Curragh, where he was responsible for the training of non-commissioned officers (NCO’s). Since his discharge in 1992, Val has been heavily involved in the Private Security Industry where has been Managing director for both Aztec Security and Zodiac Security.

Head of Human Resources

As Head of Human Resources, Sandra brings with her over 25 years of experience in the field of HR, Training and Development, Employment Law and Performance Management across multiple sectors. As part of the Senior Management Team at Manguard Plus, Sandra is responsible for leading and developing the HR function and supporting the business. Sandra has a Degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, from the National College of Ireland and professional qualifications in Health and Safety, Leadership Skills and Professional Coaching.

Mobile Services Manager

Darren has been working at Manguard Plus in various roles giving him extensive experience on the operations of the company. Darren has been appointed Mobile Services Manager, with responsibility for our key holding, alarm response and mobile patrol services throughout the island of Ireland.

Jonathan Pim
General Manager

Jonathan is a former Commissioned Officer in the Irish Defence Forces (Army). On retiring from the army, he worked in risk management, security consultancy and crisis management. He has worked in Ireland and abroad providing risk and security services to multinational organisations. Jonathan was appointed General Manager of Manguard Plus in Ireland in 2015.

Garry Bergin
Commercial Manager / Security Consultant

Garry is a Commercial Manager and Security Consultant with Manguard Plus with responsibilities for business development, bid management and contract mobilisation He holds a Masters Degree (MSc) in Security Management and is currently studying for a Professional Doctorate in The University of Portsmouth. He has over 20 years of experience in the security industry. Garry has senior management level experience in security operations, risk and threat assessment, training, investigations, human resources, process and procedure design, bid management and contract management. His qualifications include SII Higher Diploma in Security Management, BTEC Security Survey and Design, SII Diploma in Professional Investigation Management, SII Certificate in Managing Employee Safety, Advanced Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Close Protection, Critical Incident Management, SII Terrorism Awareness and Train the Trainer. Garry is a Director and Member of the Security Institute of Ireland, He currently lectures and trains security industry personnel in Risk Management, WorldHost Customer Service, Terrorism Awareness, Threat and Risk Awareness, Surveillance and Counter Surveillance, Conflict Management and Investigations Management. Sales Manager

Greg is Sales Manager and responsible for Field Sales. Greg brings a new dynamic to the sales team with extensive experience in direct sales in the security industry, the waste industry and freight forwarding. Greg is passionate about the delivery of sales by talking to people, he brings a new approach that the sales team needs with emphasis on sales for alarm monitoring, CCTV and patrol services.
