Minister for Justice and Equality Frances Fitzgerald joined the team at Manguard today to officially open our brand new €1m Command & Control Centre at our Naas head office. Creating over 40 jobs, this brand new Command & Control centre is the first of its kind in the country and is set to revolutionise the security industry in Ireland. The opening our our new Command & Control Centre is the first in Ireland (out of 41 centres) to comply with the new EN Standard Licensing introduced by the Private Security Authority in December 2014. This EN standard regulation governs the construction of the centre, the communications into the centre and the back up routines and protocols. It means that Manguard Plus' new Command and Control Centre is built and operates to the highest possible international standard for such centres, safeguarding information and assuring continuity of service. As the heart of all of our security contracts, the Command & Control Centre is now fully operational and operating 24 hours a day. It is the first truly 'paperless' office with integrated computer systems that 'talk' to each other, bringing a whole new dimension to the security industry and in return allows Manguard Plus to offer significant savings to existing and future clients. In addition to this, the Command and Control Centre also gives room for an extension to the company's existing offices and a fully equipped training facility upstairs, which will be completed in the last quarter of 2015 - creating an additional 10 jobs in admin and training and allowing us to train staff to the highest QQI level possible, putting them at the forefront of security services in Ireland today.
